Main Digital Commisions

Digital character based illustrations.

Coloured Sketches - No current examples
Can add colour to rough sketches, will be less refined but cheaper. Two rounds of revisions included.Sketch with colour

Process and revisions.Sketch - One round of revisions included.
Can make moderate changes to the pose and details. Changes resulting in the whole drawing being redone or heavily altered will result in an extra charge. Please think about what you want and describe it clearly and concisely to avoid this.Black and White Ink - Three rounds of revisions included.
You’ll get a chance to check the rough sketch for the basic pose and proportions.
No major changes to the pose or proportions can be made after this stage.
Once approved, I’ll finish the line art. Small adjustments and details can be changed at this stage.
Once the final drawing is approved I'll move onto the colour stage. On completion you will be able to check the shading.
I will not edit the ink lines once on the shading stage.Ink with colour - Three rounds of revisions included.

Backgrounds

Better with natural details.
Might have to reject city/town environments.
Price depends on the option you choose, size and complexity.
Older examples - backgrounds will be done in more current style.

Small Vignette
A small amount of environment detail, furniture etc.
Price estimate - around 10% - 50% of base price

Medium Vignette
Covers more space but won't fill the page. No far background detail or sky.
Price estimate - around 70% of base price

Full Background
Price estimate - around 150% of base price

Quick Creatures

For loose concepts and exploring ideas.
Same method as regular commissions but no revisions/edits or wips.
No backgrounds and standard full bodies only.Commission form at the end of this section.

No edits or wip's, these are meant to just explore design ideas or see a creature in my style. For more involved creature design commissions see my design and reference commissions.Can reimagine mythical creatures, explore spec bio and any other design ideas.Can also do fan art concepts like pokemon/pokefusions, digimon and other pop culture creatures*.
*Within reason - I might reject certain ip'sPlease note, when I design creatures I like to re-imagine them as one animal group rather than a fantasy hybrid. For example, I would draw a griffin as an avian with a cat like body plan. When commissioning me for a hybrid like creature let me know what animal group you’d like me to lean more into.Please include a short but clear description like –
“A fusion between Decidueye and Sawsbuck to make a grass type peryton pokemon. Should be avian”
“A small dragon based on hummingbird moths. Should still be a reptile. Feeds on nectar.”

Mini Illustrution

A small stylised illustration with a simple character and background in a 9 by 5 format.
Mostly full body or half body, depends on the size and shape and pose of the character.
Works best with small animal characters.Commission form at the end of the section.

Traditional Watercolour Paintings

Detailed watercolour paintings.
Hot press or cold press paper.Due to limitations of traditional media I might have to reject or simplify characters with very complex details, colours or markings.Commission form at the end of the section.

Base prices. Complex characters and background elements will cost extra.
Medium vignette background for a full body is + approx £175. For a stylised character or half body its approx + £120

Process: 3 rounds of revisions.
Once the rough sketch is done it will be scanned and edited digitally. You can ask for corrections at this stage.
(If the illustration is complex I might start the drawing digitally)
I can make moderate changes to the pose and details.
No major changes to the pose or proportions can be made after this stage.
Once approved, the drawing will be transferred onto watercolour paper.
Once its transferred and painted I can’t make changes to the original but I can make small corrections or simple colour adjustments digitally.

If gifting a traditional painting to someone and you intend to have it sent to them, please make sure you know their address and they consent to having their address shared to me.Due to European Union shipping laws I can no longer ship to the EU, sorry.Shipping Prices, Tracking included

Paper and Sizes

Smooth hot press or textured cold press.
Hot press is best for details while cold press has a nice looking texture.
Let me know what paper you want when ordering. If you aren't sure or don't have a preference, I'll default to hot press paper.Size
5 by 7 inches – Single stylized characters and half bodies.
B5 – Single full body. Two stylized characters or half bodies.
A4 – Two full bodies.
Some exceptions may apply. Large wings and a spread-out pose might need more room, for example.

Creature and Character Design

Concept sketches to finished reference sheets

Design Commissions

Explore ideas for creatures and characters. Or help to redesign an old idea.
Roughly the same process and base prices of main commissions but I can explore different ideas (design features, colours/markings) before settling on a final design. Price depends on amount of work and complexity.

Reference Sheets

I will not edit the pencil/ink lines once on the colour stage.For reference sheets I usually get the first main view drawn and approved by the client. This is so I can refer to it for the other views.
